Happy weekend girls!!! Well, the consensus on my last post was that I am in the minority and that most of you feel more energized to tackle projects as the weather cools down in the Fall. So, I've decided to draw on some of your energy, and just keep forging forward. After all, I seem to do better when there's a project to be done!
These lovely images are all inspiration for me to do a little "redo" on my 2 year old's room (remember, I have OCD, obsessive compulsive decorating).
The walls in her room are currently pink, and I'm not sure yet whether or not I am going to change that. I still like the pink, but it's a little "jarring" for my current, shall we say, fascination with all things pale and white these days. But, I thought...maybe with the right use of white and light gray accessories, the pink could stay. This would save me the trouble of using up one of my favors with the hubs...because, you see, I do paint furniture, but I'm hopeless when it comes to walls!
So...I'm throwin it out there, so that I can be held accountable for finishing it (which seems to be a problem lately in this crazy life of mine)...
Caighton's room is gettin a little makeover... and I'm counting on you girls to keep me on track! A little nudge here and there until I produce some pics would be a good thing...
In the meantime, I truly hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!!! Any projects on the horizon for you???

I love that first picture!!! It is so beautiful. I love whites & creams together. Thank you so much for the kind comments about my girls! Also, I'm glad you like my new header~ I'm not really a pink person but I loved those images together so.......
I really love your blog design. Maybe I'll need to contact Sadie Olive. I'm glad you are re-energized :-)

Oh my goodness look at all those pretties! My project...I built a twin bed swing with my Mom for my house....those pretty drapes on the bottom are what I am trying to create to surround the swing under the deck.
I love your blog! It is beautiful! Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Adding you to my blog roll, I am!
Smiles to your weekend.
I think the gray with the pink sounds perfect. A childs room should have some color right? I must be in the minority with ya. Winter makes me want to snuggle not get stuff done:) Have a great weekend Tracey.
Happy decorating Tracey... I am sure anything you do will be beautiful... Bisous... Julie Marie
caighton?

My daughter has that "Dream" hanging in her room - I love it!! Her room is done in PALE blue/gray, cream and white (once she experimented with bright colors - she decided vintagey French was her style - she's 12).
i like the idea of keeping the pale pink......and for you to want to do anything with her room (after seeing that awesome first photo) is astounding! but....I can't wait to see what you do.....
and a big 'nudge nudge'
i'd love to see photos of the room now! i'm curious to see which shade of pink it is...and try to envision how it would work into your "whiter shade of pale" scheme:) have a cozy fall week-end!

My Gosh you are like me, it just never stops does it? A little re-decor here a little there. First I love her name, Wow...Beautiful. I Adore the flowing white panel in the last picture so beautiful. The dream letters are Gorgeous too. Don't you love changing things up a bit? Im redoing the kids bathroom and going to surprise them with it. Not that they will be as Excited as I am about it though! Just redid window covering in my kitchen and living room last weekend, of course because I have so much time on my hands you know... Good Luck, I bet once you get started it will roll into another project and then another... It's like a darn snowball. Have a great weekend, Jamie
Wow, what a beautiful name! Love all of the beautiful pictures. Cannot wait to see your pictures of progress. Happy Weekend!
Blessings,
Shawn
Hi Tracey, so glad you came by, I'm amazed that with having a 2 year old that you have the energy to do all this, summer OR fall!
I'm sure it will be gorgeous no matter what you do!

Hi Tracey,
Lovely post and such beautiful white, delicate images.
Craighton is such a fabulous name.
When our daughter was small, I painted her room, what was meant to be pale pink from the chart. It turned out a mauvey pink and not at all like the colour sample. Hence I had to redo it.
I am loving more the creamy, white shades, with may be a little hint of the palest blue.
Good luck with the makeover.
Happy weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
I love that wispy white curtain! Living in the mountains...I definitely get inspired to make progress come fall...before the snow hits. We had a really hot and bee busy summer...so I am loving the crisp cool days we've been having for just about the last week.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with your sweet girl's room!
Enjoy your weekend!

i love all the inspiration pictures. there are a few things here i'd like to tackle. our bedroom being one of them. have a great weekend! susan
Ok, I am going to jump on board with the majority, LOVE the name Caighton. Would love to see what her room looks like now. Hint hint! My oldest picked out a color with her dad. On the walls it turned out to be pepto bismol pink. Gave me a tummy ache everytime I went in there! It has evolved after awhile to be neutral colors with touches of pink. I just love the way it looks now when it is clean! She is quite the packrat. I am waiting to see how you organize all the stuff since her sister shares her room and she is 2. Ok, I just can't wait to see what you do period!
HI Tracey
I'm sure your Caighton will be thrilled with your new project. Love the frilled edge curtain.. very sweet. x Julie
Tracey, I adore all of your inspiration photos. So beautiful. Cannot wait to see what you do!
I can't wait to see it! If these pictures are the inspiration it's going to be gorgeous!
These images are the best...they are sure to inspire...they have we wanting to make some changes too. I really want to redo my 13 year old daughter's room but she has her ideas....which are not my ideas...so I will let her win out...maybe soon she will be out of the bright stage! Happy weekend to you!
Oh a little girl's room redo...I'd be in Heaven! You'll have so much fun and I know it will be amazing. I will definitely be nagging you for pictures. You can count on me.
Hugs,
June
Hi Tracey,
What fun you're going to have, can't wait to see the progress. I love that drape in the last photo, I really want a set for my bedroom. Enjoy your decorating and happy weekend to you too!

As I type this, my husband is building his home office in the basement...making all kinds of racket just below my scraproom! But, I'm not complaining, because I get to decorate:) Can't wait to see the results of your re-do when you "tackle" your little girl's room...bet it will be stunning!
Hi Tracy, So glad you stopped by. I too get in the mood to redo stuff when the weather cools down. I have more energy then. Mainly though I am just adding stuff to my shop...I have a lot of "new" old inventory to list. My house is full to the brim but it needs a tweaking right now with just a few new whimseys. I need someone to come here and tweak for me. :)
Hi Tracey, Loved the pictures! What beautiful images. Good luck with your redecorating. Loved your ocd explanation that cracked me up! Have a great weekend! Traci
Oh, I can't wait to see how things turn out! I love that dream sign. I wish I had a little girl so I could decorate with pretty, dainty things and paint pale pink walls....so sweet! I have had to learn to fall in love with cars, trucks, sports, bugs, and dirt, but I wouldn't have it any other way! :)
xo,
Adrienne
Tracey--
Keep plugging along you'll be happy when the room is done.
Can't wait to see the pics!

Ooooo...I just love this pictures, they are all beautiful images. We have shelved some of our projects as our son and daughter-in-law's and our daughters projects seem to take priority...wait until yours grow up ...they tend to be even more demanding !!!! WE LOVE IT, REALLY!!!
love your blog... have a wonderful weekend! x pam
Your pictures are great! Can't wait to see the end results! :)
Hi Tracey,
I can so relate to the dilemma of getting projects finished. I have just finished painting stripes on a feature wall in my teenage son's bedroom (my post today)but the remainding walls need to be done and I have run out of steam.
I love your blog and look forward to reading your posts.
Ange
Hi Tracey!
I loved this post! SO pretty!
And, yes, "projects" seems to be my middle name lately!
Layla :-)
Hi Tracey, It sounds so wonderful....I look forward to hearing about the progress. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. Axx
merci de ta visite.
j'aime beaucoup la douceur de ton blog.

hi, thanks for stopping by :) when i use pink (or any other too bright color) & want it muted, i take either strong coffee or tea bags & wipe the walls with it. it gives it an old world look & not so shocking. if you have any other questions, just drop by my blog & ask :) gio
This sounds like fun! I love decorating a little girls' room. The gray and white accents sound like they will work. With my Amelia I decided to veer away from the pink and went with a sweet peach color that I just love! I am with you on the hassle of repainting the entire room. I am sure that you will come up with something lovely. Can't wait to see pictures!
ooooo, i want that in my room...gorgeous!
Tracey, thanks for stopping by my blog, I love visitiors. I love your blog, beautiful.
Cheryl
Hi there,Tracey it my first visit to your blog, so elegant, I can almost smell the linen!I will be back again!Oh decided I cant resist following you! Sharon xxx
Oh...decorating a girl's room....how wonderful...I have all boys so I've never gotten to decorate or buy clothes for a girl. From all of your pictures you certainly have a FAB sense of style. Whatever you do...I know it will be beautiful because it will be layered with parts of your soul. Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog...
hello what a beautiful blog you have! I came over by way of Koralee at Bluebird Notes.
I will be reading your posts from now on!

Oh you wicked girl- my whole "old" house and the next "new" house will be one big project to keep my busy FOREVER!! LOL. I received my mag, and OMG, how lovely. The kitchen stuff is perfect, as that's the first room we're doing. I was just drooling.
We have our little one's room pink too, but a grayed pink, very soft. I felt like color was important to her.
I love that first photograph of the "Dream" sign. It would be wonderful to decorate a little girls' room...and buy clothes...alas, I have a boy that loves his X-Box and sports. & hates shopping! ;)
Let's make a pack... my 2 daughters who share a room just came to me and want a room makeover... i told them before Christmas... promise! I'll help you stay motivated and then when I see your dream room for your sweet daughter... I'll be engergized to do their room! :)
xo,
LuLu
Best of luck with your your little one's makeover! I've been wanting to revamp our guest room. Maybe it's time. : )
Your blog always feels so peaceful and beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with your little girl's room.
love the little dress hanging in the window. so sweet. I have tons of projects that i can't seem to finish or start for that matter. one of these days. have fun decorating!!
i love bella note.
My projects are peeling the fruit border off my kitchen walls, the pink striped wallpaper off my spare bedroom walls and the navy and rose trellis wallpaper off my other spare bedroom walls - tedious time consuming stuff... but I want a change in style - a soothing beach feeling with soothing tones of pale blues and whites and seafoam. So I'm switching to all white curtains, pale walls, some beiges and creams...I'll eventually include pics on my blog - I guess I really won't let go of summer :) Jennifer
