Well hello! Anyone else out there crazy about mercury glass??? I have quite a few pieces, and had decided to try and group, at least the candlesticks, together on the shelf where the white dishes used to reside (they're now in the cabinet, remember?). Well, I started to work on this, and then I had my brain storm idea about switching the living room and dining room...so now this is going to have to change...but, I figured you wouldn't mind if I showed you the pictures anyway, right?! BTW, you can make out little itty bitty reflections of me taking the shot in the picture above :)
...still lovin the vintage sheet music on the wall...that will probably stay (thank you Kasey for the idea)...
...more Jeanne d' Arc influence, I've been embellishing my candlesticks with vintage, sparkly buttons...
...these little beauties are old tin Christmas tree light reflectors that my MIL recently gave us...I just really like them so I included them on the shelf...
Well, I'm deep into the switcheroo with my rooms and I'm really liking it so far! I hope to have pictures for you soon...until then, have a wonderful rest of your week my friends!!! It's cold and nasty here, so I'm sending warm and happy wishes your way...
Tracey

Aw shucks girl, couldn't you have sent me the "L" too! LOL. Love the mercury glass. Yes, I love it too- hence my buying of garlands this year. I found some reflectors at the flea market this year, but they are colored ones (pastels and primary)- still cool though. Good luck with redcorating- can't wait to see. I had to bag the burlap- they didn't have it in stock... nothing here is the same as PA (notice I refrained from saying 'home'). xoxo
I'm loving your "switcheroo" so far, can't wait to see the finished pics! I love the sheet music, the framed stencil letter, and of course all of that beautiful mercury glass!
I'm also a huge fan of mercury glass and I scored some beautiful mercury glass ornaments on sale after Christmas!

I'm new to loving mercury glass...there is something vintage yet timeless about it.
Love the idea of old earrings and buttons being used in candles...love the inspiration you share!
Gorgeous Tracey. I love Mercury glass too & recently saw a fabulous idea June shared on her blog laughing with angels. I asked if I could borrow her idea & not only does it look pretty - but it works beautifully! She tucks paper & tulle into the candle stick before adding the candle to prevent the was from dripping down the candlesticks.
Absolutely beautiful. Love your display...the sheet music was a nice touch:)
Hi Tracey!
Very nice photos again:-) I like especially the frames and the candlestics!!!
Have a nice day!
Hugs,
Vianne

I find myself wishing I could switch blogs with you....not that you would want mine, but I love yours much better!Just thought I'd share this silly nonsense! Thank you for being you and making blogland a prettier place. Can't wait to see your switcharoo!
I sell it and don't have any...isn't that always the way it is? I ran across some gorgeous pieces of it this past weekend....but man oh man...they wanted beaucoups of money for it. I couldn't afford it for myself much less for resale. Your sticks are gorgeous and I love the idea of rhinestone brooches on the candle. Tres chic! :)
I love your blog! Everytime I visit. I'm inspired by the colors, header, content and visual harmony. Truth be known, I want to trade, but that would'nt be fair to you. So, I'll be contented to visit and admire and borrow thoughts and ideas. Thanks for sharing your beauty!

I ADORE mercury glass.. it is right up there with ironstone... maybe higher since the real stuff is expensive and hard to find. You amaze me... I love you photos and your blog!!
Michelle
beautiful! i love mercury glass! cant wait to see when you are all finished!
Oh Tracey,
I just love everything that you love. Mercury glass is my favourite thing at the moment. I have candlesticks, votives, bowls and lanterns. I love it. I was out today, looking for a lantern as a present for someone but they had sold them all.
Also, my dad died in September 2008and, as a musician, had loads of old sheet music. He was 91 when he died and had sheet music from the 1930's. so, I must utilise it in some way. Thanks for all of your inspiration. XXXX
HEY TRACIE, LOVE YOUR MANTEL! I LOVE THE LOOK OF M.G. BUT DON'T HAVE ANY. (yet)
WOW, YOU'RE AMBITIOUS! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE PICS OF THE BIG SWITCH. TAKE IT EASY NOW, JUDY
Ha! I love that you switch stuff around all the time..! I can completely relate to that. That, and your love for white and chippy furniture. ;)

I just can't get enough Mercury Glass! My ornament collection grew this year and I am trying to incorporate some of them into my everyday decor along side my pedestals and candlesticks without looking too "Christmasy" . Your candlestick vignette is stunning, the music must stay! Simply beautiful, thanks for the inspiration!
Best wishes,
Tammy
it is crazy cold here right now. yuk!! i warm right up looking at all your beautiful images. love the 2 frames with the L. such style.
Your mercury glass candlestick collection is divine! I only have three or four very ordinary ones, but I love them and have them in a bathroom. Clever idea putting a glitzy button on a candle; wonder if I can get a pretty shell on mine.
Your posts are always an inspiration!
I have just a few mercury pieces and now I want more. Your collection is stunning. You have an eye for beautiful things.
Oh Tracey you are calling my name with that mercury glass. I have been collecting it for several years and have way to much. I just cannot resist a piece of the stuff. Thanks for sharing. Lauri@chippys

You have me craving mercury glass. Real ones...I recently lined the inside of a glass topiary with silver leaf and it turned out looking close...but now I'll be on the hunt for the real thing! Love your blog...will be following you now...first time visit for me. --Lili
I love your candlestick display. So gorgeous- I broke my favorite mercury glass bird packing it up after Christmas- it was a sad day.
Gorgeous! When is the french larkspur magazine coming out?????? :)
Love your little vignette! mercury glass is so beautiful, hard to find here in Australia though.
glad you mentioned Marias blog, she is such a sweetheart!
Ness xx
Oooo, love this! What a great idea to put buttons on the candlesticks!
Pretty, fabulous photos, as usual! They had a few mercury glass candlesticks at Hobby Lobby for 66% off last week and after viewing yours I am wishing that I had grabbed a few.
Blessings, friend.
I like mercury-glass very much, though I don't have as many pieces as you. "Bauernsilber" you call it in Germany, that means something like farmers silver, farmers used these things because they could not afford real silver candle holders. And now we pay a lot of real silver for real antic mercury-glass!
Greetings from Germany
Rabenfrau
I'm so in love with mercury glass...yet I have none! It must become my new mission now to obtain some!
And the vintage sheet music is so sweet...love the idea!
I'll be visiting you often!
